Bereavement and funeral assistance for returned servicemen and women may be available through the Deapartment of Veterans Affairs. Once DVA has been notified about the death of a pension recipient, a bereavement payment may be payable, depending on circumstances. The Commonwealth Government, through Centrelink, offers financial support after the death of a partner, child or person you were caring for. For further information and eligibility, please visit the Centrelink website or contact your local Centrelink Office.
